FAQ: What should I do after my pet’s appointment and I bring them home?

After imaging, pets return home to rest while their veterinarian reviews results and guides next steps in care.

Once your pet’s imaging exam is complete, the next step is making sure you and your veterinarian have the information needed to guide treatment.

Here’s what you can expect after your visit:

Urgent findings

If the radiologist identifies anything requiring urgent care, our doctor will immediately call your veterinarian. This ensures your pet’s care team can take action right away.

Radiology report timeline

In all cases, your veterinarian will receive a formal radiology report within 24 hours of the exam. This report contains detailed findings and is available to you through your veterinarian.

How results are shared

The images from your pet’s exam are stored securely and can be provided to your veterinarian at their request. Your vet will review the findings with you and help plan the next steps, whether that means medication, surgery, or a referral to another specialist.

Emergency support

If ER services are needed following an ultrasound, and your veterinarian is unable to arrange the transfer, we will provide you with contact information for the nearest emergency facility.

Built for continuity of care

Every part of our process is designed to ensure fast, accurate communication so your veterinarian has the information they need—and you have a clear path forward for your pet.
