FAQ: Will my pet be anxious without me during their scan?

Your pet’s comfort and safety come first. Before imaging, each patient receives a personalized dose of anti-anxiety medication to help them stay relaxed. Once the scan begins, your pet is under full anesthesia, so they won’t feel stress, movement, or discomfort.

Throughout the process, our team carefully monitors breathing, heart rate, and temperature to keep your pet stable. After imaging, your pet stays with us until they’re fully awake and able to regulate their own body temperature.

Most pets handle the day extremely well and are ready to go home soon after recovery—calm, safe, and eager to see their favorite person again!
